Healthy and happy oats breakfast with pineapple

Skipping your breakfast is harmful, but eating this oatmeal pineapple breakfast is joyful! Today’s foodie blog post is all about a delicious breakfast recipe that’s easy, quick and healthy. Plus.. if you’re a pineapple fan you’re definitely gonna like this one!

Today I’m highlighting pineapple; although a pineapple is very sweet (I like that), one cup of pineapple pieces contains only 82 kcal (I like that even more). And do you know pineapples are fat-free? Also remember when you’re eating it that one pineapple contains already half of the daily recommended value of vitamin C, so this will support your immune system.

 

INGREDIENTS

– 250 ml water
– 60 gr oats
– 50 gr pineapple pieces
– Shredded coconut
– Optional: honey

MACRONUTRIENTS

  • Energy: 306,9 kcal
  • Protein: 8,5 g
  • Carbs: 54,2 g
  • Fat: 7,2 g
  • Fiber: 7,6 g

METHOD

Place a little bowl with 250 ml water in the microwave for 2.30 min (1000 watt). Once it’s finished you immediately add 60 gr oats in the bowl (while the water is still hot) and stir until smooth.
Next step is the decoration: put the pineapple pieces on top as well as some super food toppings and/or nuts. You like it sweet? Add extra honey to taste!
