Soft and sweet: healthy Pear Crumble

In the weekends, I always like to give a little bit extra, extra in the kitchen, extra attention for cooking and extra enjoyment. If you have all my cookbooks at home, you know I love crumbs for breakfast. And so: this pear crumble with lots of tasty spices and oatmeal could not be missed on the Foodie-ness blog. Besides the fact that a crumble is of course super tasty,

it is also easy to use your fruit leftovers.

Most people eat this for dessert, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and layer the crumb with flour, sugar, and butter.

However, did you know that pear crumbles are delicious for breakfast? Especially if you make the crumb layer healthy, its a really good and nutritious idea. This crumble is made from oatmeal with various nuts and spices. Believe me, you want to try this! Happy weekend!

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 large pears
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 3 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • pinch of salt
  • handful of mixed nuts
  • 150 gr oatmeal
  • handful of raisins

  • Carbs: 53,4 g
  • Protein: 8,3 g
  • Fat: 12,1 g
  • Fiber: 7,4 g

 

METHOD

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.
  2. Peel the pears and cut them into small pieces. Melt 1 tbsp coconut oil in a saucepan. Bake the pear together with the cinnamon, honey and a pinch of salt. Add a little water.
  3. Chop the mixed nuts and put them in a bowl together with the oatmeal and raisins.
  4. Get a small baking dish and spread ot the pear on top. Then devide the oatmeal mix over it and bake in the oven for about 2o minutes.
  5. Enjoy!
