Healthy raw red velvet bliss balls

I’m such a food lover that I seriously could eat all day long. Of course this isn’t quite as good for us, unfortunately.. So to make it healthier I now stick to 6 eating moments a day. This works great for me to prevent overeating and I always bring healthy snacks with me wherever I go. A new great snack I’ve discovered are healthy and guilt-free raw velvet bliss balls, which taste even better than they sound!

I know some of you might not excited too when you hear the word red velvet. However about beetroot, you either love it or hate it.. But I can promise you that these raw beetroot red velvet bliss balls (made with beetroot & vanilla) can change your feelings towards beetroot! This root vegetable has many health benefits. Beetroot contains multiple minerals, but also powerful antioxidants, which are responsible for its natural red coloring. Therefore it’s very good to add this veggie to your diet every once in a while. Think beet smoothies or juices, but it also works great in salads.

“Never turn down a red velvet bliss ball”

The trick with beetroot is that it should be combined with certain ingredients that bring out the best taste. For example goat cheese, walnuts and cranberries work great with this vegetable in a salad. But it also combines really good with some of my favorite ingredients: cacao and vanilla! I can assure you that this recipe for raw red velvet bliss balls is a true winner for your 4 o’clock snacky time 🙂

Do you have the red velvet bliss balls to surprise your Valentine this year?

(Here’s a little extra for my Dutch girls)
🙂 Doen!

With love,
Carolina.
