GREEN, FRESH AND EASY: 30 KCAL MASHED GREEN PEA SPREAD

I love hummus, don’t get me wrong. But a little bit of variation can’t kill 😉 Because of that I wanted to try out something different and I found a spread healthy, fresh and low in calories. With only a few ingredients you can whip up this delicious green pea spread.

This summer spread is made of green peas and perfect as a dip for the BBQ. On top of that, this green pea spread is suitable for vegans and perfect if you want to add some veggies to your dish. Oh and.. did you noticed the calories? Yep, that low!

INGREDIENTS

– 400 g frozen peas
– 1 handful mint
– 1 handful basil
– 30 g pine nuts
– juice of half a lemon
– pinch of salt

MACRONUTRIENTS

  • Energy: 30 kcal
  • Protein: 2 g
  • Carbs: 2,4 g
  • Fat: 1,2 g
  • Fiber: 1,3 g

METHOD

  1. Bring a pot of water to a boil and cook the frozen peas for about a minute. Now add them to a food processer and add the remaining ingredients and pulse until you’ve got a smooth sauce. Enjoy!
