In today’s blog post I outlined 8 healthy grocery items that are always in my basket and should be in yours too! Some healthy foods are a must-have to incorporate into your diet and are easy to combine with several recipes. Though it’s important and fun to vary with several ingredients, it might help you to keep the following grocery items as a base.
I like to adjust my fruit shopping to the season of the year, but in order to consume enough vitamins you should daily eat a piece of fruit. Banana’s are always in my basket as I find it the best power-fruit before my workout. Oh! And don’t forget lemons, read here why.
If you’re trying to obtain and maintain a healthy lifestyle you should try to eat veggies 3 times a day. You can’t over-eat on veggies! My favorite vegetable is broccoli; easy to cook, easy to bring with you to work/school and easy to incorporate in any meal. Choose veggies that are high in vitamins, minerals and fiber!
I’m an insane salmon lover! I love the taste, but it’s also an amazing source of Omega 3 fatty acids. Find here my favorite low-carb salmon salad!
Chicken = protein! Chicken is one of the best protein-packed foods you can eat. Eating lean protein like chicken is essential to lose weight and build muscles.

6. Low-fat quark
