Good morning choco mug cake

A special good morning to all the choco-lovers! After receiving so many happy messages on the Foodie-ness banana mug cake recipe, I’d like to show you today how easily you can change the flavour of the same mug cake into.. chocolate!

Does anyone recognize the feeling that you suddenly feel like you MUST eat some cacao? Confession: I do! I always have raw cacao powder in my kitchen, because it’s so easy to combine with several recipes. Today I gave the Foodie-ness mug cake a twist of cacao and I hope you will love it too. It takes 5 minutes of your morning routine and contains only 5 ingredients, requires all the fibers, vitamins and fat you need in your breakfast and will give you the energy you need to shine today!

Alrighty, here we go!

METHOD

1. Take a mug and add 1 egg and 3 tbsp: stir until smooth
2. Once smooth, add 1/1,5 tbsp raw cacao powder, honey, and pecans and stir again. Crumble the pecans into smaller pieces for a crunchy bite.
Optional: If you stil need to consume a piece of fruit, you can add 1/2 banana.
3. Now put the mug in the microwave for 2 minutes (1000 watt). You can also put it for 12-14 minutes in a preheated oven on 200°C
4. I turned the mug around on a plate so I could pimp the mug cake with peanut butter, raw cacao nibs, honey and banana slices. Be creative and pimp yours how you like it!
