First of all I want to come clear: I wasn’t always a big fan of yoga and did not give it enough priority to fit into my fitness schedule, however since I tried it.. I’m convinced! There are plenty of health benefits that come with yoga, but there are 4 favourites I want to share with you 😉
1. Strength and muscle tone
This one I love! Yoga can provide strength and endurance benefits which will help you improve your muscle tone. Nearly all yoga poses build core strength in the deep abdominal muscles.
Stretching your muscles in yoga poses can help you to move easier, flexible and feel less stiff. It doesn’t matter how flexible you are, you can for sure improve it by doing yoga!
3. Better posture
Once you become more flexible and stronger, this will directly have a positive impact on your posture. Most standing and sitting poses develop core strength and help your with your body awareness.
4. Breathing benefits = more calm = better mood
While doing yoga you are forced to pay attention to your breath and this can help you relax. Focusing on your breathing during yoga will make you feel more calm, relaxed and less stressed after your yoga session. I love how you can get your body and mind back to zero in the middle of a busy week!
